Cancer Support Scotland is here to provide emotional and practical support – on a one-to-one basis and through community based groups – to anyone affected by cancer including family, friends and carers.
From our site in the grounds of Gartnavel we offer a warm, friendly place where anyone affected by cancer can come for one of our extensive range of Complementary Therapies and Talking Therapies (Counselling). All of our therapists and counsellors are experienced in working with people affected by cancer.
We also work in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and Glasgow Life at their sites at The Bridge, Easterhouse, Dennistoun library, Mitchell library and Renfrew Health Centre where we provide Talking Therapies and Complementary Therapies.
We have Support Groups throughout Scotland, where people affected by cancer can have someone to share their experiences with and meet with people who have been through, or are going through, the same thing.
In October 2012 we moved into our new Calman Cancer Support Centre. This has enabled us to double our old capacity, helping us meet growing demand from our service users.
