Our counsellors are all members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, COSCA or ITA. They are experienced in working with people affected by cancer and understand the challenges faced.
Counselling offers a safe and confidential environment to talk about the issues that have led you to seek help. The Talking Therapist’s job is to listen, empathise and help you to make your own decisions.
Sometimes the opportunity to speak to someone who is not a member of your family or a friend can be mentally beneficial, without having the worry of causing upset. Some people find one session is enough, whereas others may need more sessions.
"Being diagnosed with cancer is a devastating and frightening experience. Speaking to a Cancer Support Scotland Talking Therapist has allowed me to share my fears and come to terms with this disease"
Shaun, Cancer Patient
