As the Village People sang ‘Go West’……..we are now happy to ‘Go East’ and extend our successful partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to develop our new services in the East of Scotland covering Edinburgh and West Lothian.
We currently have 2 Counselling services based in Edinburgh at:
- Craigmillar Library – Thursday afternoon (Monday opening soon
- Drumbrae Library – Saturday afternoon
In West Lothian our Counselling services are based in:
- Bathgate Partnership Centre – Monday morning
- Carmondean Library – Wednesday afternoon
- Strathbrock Partnership Centre – Wednesday all day
We also offer Complementary Therapy service based at Carmondean Connected library on a Tuesday afternoon.
A new eight week Mindfulness Course is open to patients undergoing cancer treatment or have done within the last twelve months and is based in various Library locations in Edinburgh.
This course will reduce stress and anxiety, help you cope when faced with stress, teach you meditation techniques you can use in your busy life and learn to develop compassion and kindness towards yourself and others.
All our services are free for anyone affected by cancer and are delivered by qualified and experienced volunteers.
