Cancer Support Scotland is currently recruiting for a part-time Family Counsellor and Placement Educator.
Cancer Support Scotland provides free Counselling, Complementary Therapy and Podiatry. We are looking for an experienced Counsellor to initially provide counselling to individuals, couples and families. Counselling is provided face to face and via Skype.
This is a great opportunity for someone to join our team of dedicated staff, in a great location and environment. From our beautiful Calman Centre in grounds of Gartnavel Campus and in our outreach locations throughout the central belt.
It is essential that you have experience of counselling vulnerable groups. It is important that the whoever applies also has experience in working with children from the age of five upwards.
We regularly have student Counsellors, we are looking for someone is a qualified counselling supervisor or has experience of supporting student Counsellors.
This position is based from our Calman Centre but there may also be a requirement to provide counselling for prolonged periods in one of our outreach locations.
- Education – a minimum of an accredited Counselling Diploma
- Two years face to face client counselling experience.
- Training or experience or of Children, Couple Counselling.
- Hours – Initially flexible, Monday to Friday, this will change to include Saturday mornings
- Initially this is a 12 month contract.
