Cancer Support Scotland is delighted to welcome Claire Benjamin as our Head of Fundraising and Communications.

Claire brings a blend of third sector expertise and a background in corporate events. Claire’s experience in a senior role, with a leading Scottish charity, combined with real energy, enthusiasm and passion for fundraising and communications – the perfect combination for Cancer Support Scotland.

Claire joins the Leadership Team at an exciting time for Cancer Support Scotland. 2019 has been a period of transformation with the development of a forward thinking strategy that will lead the charity into the next decade and beyond. Claire’s appointment is perfectly timed to help implement the strategy and lead the charity’s exciting 40th anniversary celebrations in 2020.

Claire worked within the charity sector for over 14 years, working within Events for Maggie’s and most recently spent over 4 years with CHAS as their Community Fundraising Development Manager. Claire has a wealth of experience across Community and Events fundraising and building robust and creative fundraising teams.

Claire commented on the new role: “I am absolutely thrilled to be starting in my new role as Head of Fundraising & Communications at Cancer Support Scotland.
