Donations
Perhaps your company would like to make a monetary donation to Cancer Support Scotland. We would be very happy to meet with you to talk through some of the ways your donation can help and determine which specific project you would like your donation to go towards.
Currently we are running our Take Care Appeal which requires us to raise £420,000 to enable us to open our new Calman Cancer Support Centre in the summer of 2012. The new centre will allow us to double our capacity and ensure that we meet the growing demands for our services for years to come.
Other projects your donation could be put towards include:
- £248 to further a Complementary Therapist's training and give people diagnosed with cancer the peace of mind that they are being looked after by a highly trained professional in a safe and caring environment.
- £1,050 to enable us to start up a new Support Group for anyone diagnosed with cancer. These groups give members invaluable strength and support, from people in the same situation as them, who really do understand how they feel.
- £5,000 to enable us to launch our Hair and Nail Advisory Service in our new centre giving people going through or newly finished treatment for cancer the support to deal with the traumatic effects of losing their hair or manage the painful changes that treatments can have on their nails.
