James Bond Première

On Thursday 25th October, Cancer Support Scotland held the charity première of James Bond’s ‘Skyfall’ at the Odeon Kilmarnock.

Thanks to a top secret deal struck between Cancer Support Scotland, the Odeon and Daniel Craig himself, 007 fans were able to experience the thrill of a Bond-themed première. The mission began on the 25th of October at 6.30pm, a full 24 hours before the official UK launch.

The exclusive red carpet event was hosted by Heather Suttie and boasted Aston Martins, Bond girls, live entertainment and Bond-themed prizes. All guests to the glitzy premiere strolled down the red carpet, be snapped by the “paps” and welcomed with a refreshing drink courtesy of Heineken.

Donna King, assistant manager of the Kilmarnock Odeon store said: “This will be a great chance for people to not only celebrate the new Bond film but also allow fans to watch the film a day earlier than the official launch date. This will be an exciting night which will also be raising money for a great cause.” All money made from the event will go to Cancer Support Scotland.

Cancer Support Scotland Chief Executive, Colin Graham said: “This is an exciting event for our charity, which will be celebrated in style! Not only will this raise money for Cancer Support it will be a great chance for people to see the new Bond film before anyone else!”.

The event was a great success and raised over £5,000 for Cancer Support Scotland. Thank you to everyone who supported and attended the event.
