Students from Edinburgh College of Art and Heriot Watt University donated £4392.76 from the annual Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show to Cancer Support Scotland.
Cash from the annual show, which has raised £250,000 for good causes over the last eight years, was divided between Cancer Support Scotland and the Sandpiper Trust.
The fashion show, which took place in Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms on March 16, included work by internationally-known designers Diane von Furstenberg, Alice by Temperley, award-winning Scottish designer Judy R Clark and work by Edinburgh College of Art students Melissa Thwaites and Louise Benetts.
After viewing the facilities at the Calman Centre, Caroline Wells, Chairman of the Committee said: “It is incredibly motivating to see the fantastic new facility and learn about the amazing services Cancer Support Scotland provides to patients and their families.”
Adam Baxter, one of the student models, added: “The enthusiasm of the staff was heart-warming, making the Centre all the more welcoming and relaxing. It is great to know that an event that we enjoy so much being a part of, raised money for such a worthy and inspiring cause."
We would like to thank all the students from ECFS for all their hard work and enthusiasm.
