Glasgow’s Girls’ Brigade Bake-Off Success!

Glasgow Girls’ Brigades raised £2230 for Cancer Support Scotland

Over the past few months 15 Girls’ Brigade troops have been working hard to raise funds and awareness for Cancer Support Scotland. They did a fantastic job as one company held a tea dance, other companies held bake sales on company evenings and cake sales after church services. 7th East Kilbride raised the highest amount of £370. The 7th East Kilbride girls were taught different recipes by their leaders, made a cook book and some girls also baked cakes and sold them to family and friends.

We were delighted to have the support of the Girls’ Brigades as they raised awareness of Cancer Support Scotland across Glasgow. After completing their amazing fundraising activities we invited the winning Brigades and some officers to the Cancer Support Scotland Centre to show them exactly where their vital donations were going.
