For over 40 years we have been supporting your wellbeing. Now, more than ever, we are hearing about the challenges you face around your physical and mental wellbeing.
Real stories help us reach more people from across Scotland. If you have a story you are willing to share, we would love to hear it via our form below.
Why we want to tell your story
If you or your family member has a personal story to tell about living with cancer, we want to share your experiences.
Real stories are at the heart of Cancer Support Scotland and allow us to show that there is real hope and a positive outlook for those affected by cancer.
Sharing your experiences can help others move forward and feel less alone at a time when they need support more than ever.
Top Tips
We are not looking for the perfectly written story… we will be here to support and help you share what you have gone through in a sensitive and compassionate way. Before completing the form here are some tips:
- Think about what you want to say before you start.
- We would encourage no more than 500 – 600 words.
- Use your own words and and speak from the heart.
- Don’t worry about grammar and spelling – we will be here to help with that.
- Talk about the highs and the lows of your journey. What have you learned and what has helped you move forward?
How we use your story
We are so grateful that you are considering sharing your story with us. We have a number of ways we can use this but will always reach out and consult with you first.
- It may appear on our website as a blog
- We could share on our social media accounts
- You may feature in our printed publications (leaflets / annual review / etc)
- You may take part in media opportunities such as TV, radio, newspapers or line
