Our data protection policy

“In light of current media coverage of charities selling or otherwise sharing data on their donors, Cancer Support Scotland assures all its donors and clients we have never done this. We do not approve of this practice.

Any personal data we hold, such as names, addresses and contact details, are securely stored. They will never be released to any other charity or fund-raising group.

We would also like to stress to all our supporters and clients that we never have and never will use the high-pressure fund-raising techniques employed by some organisations and abhor the targeting of vulnerable people as has been highlighted in media reports.

We do not use outside agencies to raise funds on our behalf and we do not do any unsolicited cold-calling.

If you have any concerns, please contact me directly and I will address them.”
