About Mindfulness
For those affected by cancer and their carers, Mindfulness can be a powerful tool in being able to support your wellbeing and provide you time to be fully present and engaged in the moment. It’s a helpful tool to support you in being aware of your thoughts and feelings without distraction of judgement.
During an initial cancer diagnosis, many people will feel an array of different emotions. Some may experience a sense of shock, fear, or sadness. As they go through treatment, more emotional and physical changes can occur, and as they do, many people become frustrated at the loss of control. Practicing Mindfulness techniques can create better outcomes by helping people affected by cancer focus on the present moment and steering them away from the worry of the unknowns that cancer brings.
Our skilled Therapist has recorded a selection of Mindfulness sessions for people with cancer, their carers and loved ones.
