Our Ladies Lunch was full of fun, fizz and fundraising

Our 3rd Ladies Lunch was a huge success at the Radisson Blu on Sunday the 28th of October 2018. We were overwhelmed with show of support from everyone in the room.

Madaline Alexander, Interim CEO

An incredible £8,705 was raised on the day, even better this will rise as the Gift Aid and match funding comes in. This is a fabulous result as we are so pleased as now we can help a further 174 cancer patients and their families.

As you will see from the photos everyone looked stunning. We’d personally like to thank everyone who came along on the day, all the generous sponsors who donated raffle and auction prizes, fabulous staff and volunteers also to our fantastic host Paul Harper, the amazing live band Los Perros and DJ John Ross who kept everyone dancing. You can see all the photos on our Facebook page.

Lesley Shannon

Thank you to all our brave service users who appeared in our video, premiered at the lunch. Special thanks to Baby Grand Productions for producing such an amazing video and gifting to the charity. They also provided the AV on the day, helping to make our event a great success. Thank you to Lesley Shannon who stood up and spoke to our Ladies about her beautiful daughter Laura and her experience with Cancer Support Scotland. The Cancer Support Scotland video is available to watch now

Susan Calman

Susan Calman Cancer Support Scotland Ambassador

We were extremely pleased to welcome the Calman family. We are here today because Professor Ken Calman started the charity almost 40 years ago. A massive thank you goes to Susan Calman, Cancer Support Scotland’s Ambassador who has been furiously tweeting to her followers to help raise awareness of Cancer Support Scotland.

Check out our Twitter and Facebook page to see more photos that captured all the fun of the day.
