Jean’s Story

My children are all grown up and now have children of their own. I have worked hard all my life and saved so that I can enjoy my retirement but I still want to help those most important to me in my Will. I want to know that they can have a little help from me when they need it, if they need it, even after I have gone.

Once I knew my family were taken care of, I also wanted to do something to help others. As a nurse, I have seen what cancer can do to a family, not just the person suffering from the disease but their families as well. I have nursed some of my own family members through their last days and I know the difference Cancer Support Scotland’s support can make when you are struggling to stay strong. That is why I have left a gift in my Will to Cancer Support Scotland.

I hate the term “cancer journey” but cancer is definitely a road that too many people find themselves on these days. I know that my gift will make a difference and help others who are struggling down that particular road.
